How to install 4Ever Leveling for WoW Forever
Install and update 4Ever Leveling, enable its modules and open the guide with /4ever. Fix nested folders and addons missing from your game.
1. Choose the WoW Forever file
Download 4Ever Leveling from its official CurseForge project and check the Forever flavor and game version listed on the file. The reference reviewed on October 16, 2026 is WoW Forever 1.60.1, interface 16001. A Retail or Classic Era file does not establish Forever compatibility.
2. Install with the game closed
In the CurseForge app, select your Forever installation before installing. To install manually, close WoW, extract the ZIP and copy the included 4everleveling and 4everleveling_* module folders into that client's Interface/AddOns folder. In the reviewed beta the path is World of Warcraft/_classic_beta_/Interface/AddOns/. Each addon folder must contain its .toc file directly; avoid an extra folder named after the ZIP.
3. Enable the modules and open the guide
Restart WoW. At character selection, open AddOns and enable 4Ever Leveling and its included modules. Log in and type /4ever or use the minimap icon. Select the appropriate guide and check your current step. Open Dungeon Atlas from the guide menu to explore dungeons, equipment and camps.
4. Set up your guide
Choose your language and position the guide. The arrow shows direction and distance where coordinates are available. Follow the step instructions: Done confirms manual actions and Skip skips a step. Check coverage before starting a provisional route.
5. Update while keeping your progress
Close the game and back up your WTF folder before updating. Install the new package folders without deleting SavedVariables. If upgrading from the old WoWLeveling, back up your data with the game closed and copy SavedVariables/WoWLeveling.lua to 4everleveling.lua in each account only if the new file does not exist. Remove only the old WoWLeveling and WoWLeveling_* addon folders from AddOns to avoid loading both versions.
If the addon does not appear
Check the selected game installation, make sure the .toc is not nested inside an extra folder, and restart the game after installing. Check the file's compatibility on CurseForge before forcing an out-of-date addon to load.
If a quest is missing or an error appears
Record the addon and game versions, language, race/class, affected quest or dungeon and reproduction steps. Share an error screenshot in the CurseForge comments with personal details hidden. Do not share your complete WTF folder.
